1st Holmes Chapel have a 10 Poclink Ultra radios which is available to loan to other Scout and Guide groups. The conditions of borrowing are –
- The renter must be a member of The Scout Association, Girl guiding or a DBS-checked adult volunteer.
- The radios should be returned clean and undamaged.
- The radios should be charged up prior to return.
Insurance
Our cover via Unity Insurance includes:
- Loaning the units to other Scout Groups and Guide Units.
Cost
There is a charge of £30 a week for maintenance, upkeep and contribution towards insurance.

Equipment
The 10 radios are POC radios meaning that they transmit via 4G rather than analogue by default, this model can also transmit via analogue, the devices receive on both.
4G range is unlimited, analogue is up-to 35km depending on obstructions.
The battery’s are rated for upto 5 days depending on usage but are usb C rechargeable. the devices are IP67 rather waterproof also.

The tracking app unfortunately only allows one device at a time to be logged in but these credentials will be provided with the equipment. (Multiple people can use it, it just logs other out when logged in)
