Whatever your skillset, lend a hand for as little or as much time as you can spare, and we promise you’ll get more out than you put in.  Our volunteering opportunities are as varied as you!

Because whether you’re helping a leader to run an activity in Scout HQ, organising a night away or buttering 120 slices of bread for a group of very hungry eleven year olds – no two meetings are the same.
The difference you make, though, is always great.

Make a difference, volunteer today

You don’t need to be Bear Grylls to join us. Our door is open to people of all ages, genders, races and backgrounds, and we’re only able to change lives because people like you lend a hand. We’re talking about tea makers, tidy-uppers and skill sharers. We’re talking about mini bus drivers and first aiders. We’re talking about students who want to boost their CV, and parents who volunteer so they can spend more time together as a family.

We provide the training. You show up, get stuck in, and make memories for life. Sounds fun? Worthwhile? It is…

Our current needs

Beaver Leaders

The Beaver Section is our Youngest Section. Beaver Scouts can join from 6 and stay with the section until they are 8.

At Beavers, we jump straight in, that’s right straight in. Our beaver programmes are fun, messy, loud and jam packed with adventure. The experience our young people get as beavers is award winning and truly starts our young people off with #SkillsForLife.

Cub Leaders

The Cub Section is our second Section. Cub Scouts can join from 8 and stay with the section until they about 10.5 years old.

At Cubs, we start to build on the adventures outdoors and begin developing the skills they will need for Scouts. Our cub programmes are fun, dirty, loud and jam packed with adventure. The experience our young people get as cubs is award winning and truly starts our young people off with #SkillsForLife

Scout Leaders

The Scout Section is our third Section. Scouts can join from about 10.5 years old and stay with the section until they are 14. At Scouts, the adventures outdoors are in full flow and your young people really are developing the #SkillsForLife. Our Scout programmes are fun, challenging and jam packed with adventure. The experience our young people get as Scouts is award winning and truly starts our young people off with #SkillsForLife

Committee Members

As a large Scout group, we have a number of on-going projects and management tasks. Would you like to help us steer the direction of the group and support us with specific projects?
Whether helping with finding fundraising opportunities or serving tea at the village fair, we are always looking for people to help ensure we stay true to our cause.
